Farnborough Lions March 2024 Quiz Night
The first Farnborough Quiz Night of 2024 has proved to be a record breaker for several reasons. The event was held to raise funds for the Lions Prostate Cancer Screening session to be held later this year at the Southwood Medical Centre.
The Quiz Night had a record attendance with 24 teams taking part raising a phenomenal £898.23 for the screening event. That amazing total included £437 profit on the raffle, which in itself is a record for a Farnborough Lions Quiz. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the quiz teams attending for giving us such tremendous support.
This support will enable Farnborough lions to carry out more PSA tests blood tests in the future, so saving the lives of many more men who would otherwise not know they had this deadly disease.
Three new teams 'Game for a Laugh', 'The Six 6 Amigo's and 'Give us a Clue' joined the regular teams with 'Game for a Laugh' being victorious by the slender margin of 2 points at 75 with 'The Villagers' and 'The Desperados' joint second at 73 with 'Friends of Rotary' coming in third with 69 points.
